You know what they say – do it once, do it right. Well, there is also another saying that goes, if you fail a first, try again. However, some things in life would be best to get it done right the first time, such as an engagement, otherwise it might just leave a very deep psychological scar should things go awry. Since everyone wants to be unique these days, here is someone who relied on a drone to perform a proposal.

However, things nearly did not go as planned, as this drone proposal nearly ended up in disaster when the ring was so close to getting lost in the ocean. In the YouTube video that you can see above, Tristan McGann from Malibu wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Stephanie, through a drone that will drop the engagement ring into his hands.

McGann shared, “I like drones. No one else had done like a drone ring drop. I thought it would be a good idea.” The drone’s electronic claw had an early release, where the couple and friends then searched for the ring for the next quarter of an hour, harboring fears that the vast ocean would have swallowed up another treasure for good. One of their friends, Tara, was fortunate enough to locate it perched on the cliff edge two feet away from going into the ocean. All’s well that ends well, right?
