fossil q motionFossil is a company known for their leather products and also their watches. Recently the company has also gotten into the wearables game by launching several smartwatches. However if you’d rather not spend so much money on a smartwatch when all you need is a fitness tracker, fret not because Fossil’s got your back.

The company has recently announced the Fossil Q Motion which is a fitness and activity tracker that is priced at $95. This is considerably cheaper than smartwatches out there and should be good enough to get the job done. This isn’t Fossil’s first foray into activity trackers, but it will be the company’s first activity tracker that can track the wearer’s sleep as well.

Given that Fossil acquired wearables maker Misfit last year, we suppose it was only a matter of time before we started seeing some of Misfit’s technology being appropriated by Fossil for their own products. In addition to the sleep tracking feature, the Q Motion will function similarly to other Fossil trackers and come with the usual tracking capabilities.

The company has also integrated Smart Tap technology into the Q Motion, which is basically where users just need to tap the module a couple of times to initiate certain functions on their phone, like play music, take a selfie, and etc. The best part is that the Q Motion is powered by a coin battery, meaning that you won’t need to replace it for about 6 months. In terms of release, the Q Motion has been pegged for the summer.
