Samsung-Galaxy-S7-vs-S7-edge-03_900

Customers in the United States will soon be able to pick up the Galaxy S7 from Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile. Most major carriers have already started shipping pre-ordered units, even retailers like Best Buy have started shipping ahead of the official release date. Samsung has pegged March 11th as the official release date of the new flagship handsets.

Boost Mobile is going to start selling the Galaxy S7 from March 11th and Virgin Mobile gets in on the action on March 18th. It will be available in Black Onyx at both carriers and will be priced at $649.99 plus tax. The handset can be paired with no-contract plans from either carrier.

For those who are wondering, Boost and Virgin will only start selling the Galaxy S7 in the coming week, they won’t be offering the Galaxy S7 Edge for now. It’s possible that the most expensive of the two new flagships might arrive at a later date.

The major difference between the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is that of the display size and the fact that the latter has a dual-edge curved display. Other specifications are more or less the same, including the water resistance rating and the microSD card slot, both features were missing from the Galaxy S6.

More information about each carrier’s plans is available on their respective websites.
