2016 is an exciting year for television. There are a ton of new shows that are coming out, and not to mention new seasons for popular TV shows are being released. Safe to say that HBO’s Game of Thrones is one of the more highly-anticipated ones, and as if to sate your curiosity or maybe to whet your appetite, the trailer for season 6 has been released.
Note that this is the red band trailer meaning that it might not necessarily be safe for work. Not to say that there are any nude scenes, but some scenes are suggestive so maybe skip this one for now if you are at work, but either way just a heads up! That being said, the trailer does seem to do a very good job of hyping up the upcoming season.
We get glimpses of a dead Jon Snow, Bran Stark with the Night’s King standing behind him, and also what appears to be Cersei Lannister reclaiming her place by sending the zombie version of The Mountain after the religious clerics in the kingdom. All in all it does look like a particularly exciting season and one that we’re sure many fans are going to pay close attention to.
This is because unlike previous Game of Thrones seasons, season 6 will mark the first time the show has deviated away from the books as George R.R. Martin has yet to complete the latest title. We’re not sure how much of a deviation we could be looking at, but here’s hoping the show’s creators will be able to maintain the style of the books and narrative that we have come to know and love so far.
