Samsung-Pay

Who doesn’t like free money? Well, now you have the chance to get some if you happen to have picked up the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge from Samsung. The company is literally handing out free money to people to use Samsung Pay on its latest flagship smartphones. Samsung has made use of similar promotions in the past to increase usage of its mobile payments service.

Samsung has launched a new promotion in which it’s giving Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge users $30 for completing a Samsung Pay transaction using one of its new flagship handsets. The transaction has to be made between now and the end of March for the user to be eligible to receive $30.

Don’t expect to receive three crisp $10 bills because Samsung will send out digital gift cards worth $30 to one of five retailers that the user can choose from. Participating retailers include Best Buy, eBay, Nike, Regal Cinema and Whole Foods. Chances are you can buy something you really need from these five retailers so that gift card is essentially as good as cold hard cash.

Bear in mind that this promotion is only open to users in the United States to complete a Samsung Pay transaction using just the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge. The promotion doesn’t apply to other Samsung Pay-compatible devices like the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

More information about this promotion and the fine print is live on Samsung’s website.
