iphone se caseFrom what we know about Apple’s rumored 4-inch iPhone, it sounds a lot like the iPhone 5/5s in terms of design. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing since we did like the design, but given that we’re two generations ahead of the iPhone 5s, we would have hoped that Apple might have come up with something different.

Unfortunately that does not appear to be the case. According to a report from MacRumors, they have managed to get their hands on some case renderings created by Spigen, a pretty well-known case and accessory manufacturer for the iPhone and other brands. As you can see in the rendering above, it shows off a supposed case designed for the iPhone SE.

Right off the bat you couldn’t be blamed if you thought that this was the iPhone 5/5s. From what we can tell, it certainly looks like Apple has not done anything new with the iPhone SE. Everything appears to be the same, even the design of the camera and the flash unit. However to be fair, the phone is inside a case so we can’t really see its entire design, but from what we can tell it doesn’t seem to be too different.

That being said, Apple has recently confirmed that they will be hosting an event on the 21st of March. Presumably this is where the company will announce new products like the iPhone SE. We are also expecting a new iPad, new Apple Watch accessories, and given that last year we were treated to MacBook hardware refreshes, maybe we can expect those as well, but either way do check back with us then for more info.
