LG recently confirmed the launch date for the G5 in Canada so it was only a matter of time before it provided availability details for customers in the United States. The company has just announced that the LG G5 will be released in the United States early next month. It’s going to be available via Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint as well as retailers like Best Buy.

LG’s new flagship handset is going to be accompanied by its “Friends” next month. The G5 has a modular design which allows it to work with several compatible devices that are called LG Friends. These devices include a camera module and a VR module.

Samsung provided a free Gear VR to all customers who pre-ordered its latest flagship smartphone. LG has said that it’s going to give customers who pre-order the G5 a free extra battery and a battery charging cradle. Yes, unlike the Galaxy S7, LG’s new flagship has a removable battery.

The company has only announced that the G5 and Friends will be available starting early next month. No precise release dates or pricing information has been provided yet but that information will be announced via carrier and retail partners in the coming weeks.
