link-google-mapsI know that many of us simply cannot wait for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD to make an appearance, but this does not mean that one should just sit back and twiddle one’s fingers while waiting, right? After all, there is the new HD launch trailer for you to enjoy over and over again, not to mention a High Definition video of the game to keep you occupied. It looks like Link’s sense of adventure resonates with the folks over at Google as well, which is why Link can now be found on Google Maps.

The wanderlust spirit of Link will now be shown on Google Maps as a hidden surprise, where all you need to do is to log in to the browser version of Google Maps, and Link will then do his bit to guide you to where you would like to go. In commemoration with the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD today on the Wii U as an exclusive title, you might not have time for Google Maps, but perhaps checking out Link’s antics in the navigation service is worth a shot while you take a break from the game.

There will be a small Link icon at the bottom right hand corner of Google Maps, where Link here carries the Master Sword and Hyrule Shield. Clicking on him will send you to Street View, and you can also drag Link over the map and drop him down to enter Street View mode as well. Gotta love seeing Link swing from left to right while you drag him, as though you were playing Dungeon Master on the PC all over again.
