WARNING: Graphic Video Disclaimer.

The Human Torch from the Fantastic Four comic series that hail from Marvel is definitely an interesting character, but as we all know, self-immolation without actually suffering from serious injury or death is not possible in the real world. After all, the Human Torch is but fictional, but having a mobile phone battery explode and causing serious harm or injury is nothing new, perpetuated by videos such as the above.

The video above points to what is most probably a man in Pakistan who apparently burst into flames for no reason at all, although it has been suspected that the mobile phone’s battery is the main culprit in the incident. The victim then ran in the streets with curious onlookers checking out the scene, while others were shouting for a piece of cloth to cover the victim so that the flames will be doused, with the assistance of water, of course.

Someone duly threw a pail of water over most of the flames and it is safe to say that the victim did not succumb to his injuries, which is a good thing, although it would most probably be a while before he recovers from this rather traumatic incident.
