marrymeThere is always this romantic notion about proposals, and it is best to get it right the first time round, as bloopers tend to make it awkward and embarrassing for just about anyone. Well, you can certainly say that Martin Rolfe from Worthin in West Sussex has thought things through carefully, and ran his heart out in order to win the hand of Fatma Turk, his other half for the past two years. How did he do it? Through a fitness app, of course, where his 8-mile run saw the magical words “Will you marry me” mapped out.

I guess it is safe to say that Fatma Turk would find it pretty difficult trying to turn down such a heartfelt proposal for sure. When Ms. Turk uploaded the data from his tracker to the computer, her brain did not register the cryptic message at first, as she mentioned to him that the route was rather strange, especially since many of the runs ended up in dead ends.

Rolfe shared, “I did get a few strange looks when I was running up and down people’s roads, but it was worth it.” When Rolfe asked Turk to look harder, her neurons managed to put two and two together, and she duly said “Yes”.
