Mass Effect fans are going to have to wait a bit more for its return. The upcoming title in this RPG series was initially supposed to arrive during the holiday season this year but that won’t be happening. EA has confirmed that Mass Effect: Andromeda has actually been delayed to next year. He said that the title would be released in the company’s fourth quarter.

The confirmation comes from EA CFO Blake Jorgensen who said during a presentation at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference that Mass Effect: Andromeda will not be released before 2017.

Jorgensen didn’t provide a confirmed release date for the delayed game but said that it will arrive “in our fourth quarter,” which runs from January to March 2017.

Mass Effect: Andromeda was originally revealed as a prototype back in 2014 but it was officially announced at E3 last year. EA hasn’t shown much of it since then so naturally there has been some speculation about this title.

The new title is being developed by BioWare Montreal and when it does arrive it’s going to be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. EA is most likely to provide more details about Mass Effect: Andromeda later this year.
