samsung-logoIt looks like Samsung’s pioneering work in the realm of curved edge displays is starting to catch on more and more, starting with the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, and that particular model has seen its “spiritual successors” in the form of the Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. Well, does this mean that other smartphone manufacturers would like to jump on board the bandwagon as well? It looks to be the case, with word going around that Samsung is selling its curved displays to other Chinese manufacturers.

After all, Vivo and its recently introduced Xplay5 does come with a curved display, and we have heard of whispers that Samsung will be selling its curved displays to the likes of Xiaomi as well. In fact, rumors point to Xiaomi’s Mi Note 2 as being the next device which will feature a curved display, and with the existing Mi Note being more than a year old, a successor is more than likely, of course.

Do you think that curved displays will one day end up as a staple in the smartphones and phablet markets, or will it continue to be touted as an additional feature? Only time will be able to tell.
