When it comes to high end handsets, the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge
is one flagship model that would certainly be the choice of many if everyone were able to afford one. In fact, it packs quite the processing muscle to get the job done without missing a beat, and also looks good to boot. Well, while it performs great underneath the hood, just how tough is it? Sure, it won’t be as tough as some of the rugged handsets out there, but it looks like the Galaxy S7 edge does have some brawn to its brains, too.

YouTuber JerryRigEverything decided that the Galaxy S7 edge should not be placed on a pedestal but decided to test the device out by abusing it, first by assessing the display’s scratch-ability using a measured scale, and the panel surely did a good job in handling unwanted scrapes. As for the back camera, which has a robust glass coating, it did pretty all right against a Stanley knife, whereas the flash module did not fare too well.

As for the burn test, the lighter did some damage to the display after a flame was held to different areas of the display for a few seconds at each stop, which is not surprising at all, and in the bend test, it passed with flying colors. It is a shame to put a spanking new flagship handset through all of that abuse, though.
