Samsung-Galaxy-S7-vs-S7-edge-03_900Thinking of getting yourself and your family member or partner a Samsung Galaxy S7 but don’t want to have to pay for two handsets? If you are after such a deal, you might recall that carriers such as T-Mobile and AT&T have launched buy-one-get-one promotions in the past, and now a report from FierceWireless has confirmed that Verizon will be hopping on board as well.

While Verizon has yet to officially announce anything, the report claims that they have confirmed this upcoming deal with Verizon’s Communications Manager, Trevor Thomas. The deal is expected to launch later today, but at this time of writing we do not see it yet, but do keep an eye out for it if this sounds like something you might be interested in.

We’re not sure what are the specifics of the deal, but presumably it will be similar to those offered by their rivals. This means that it might be a requirement for the second handset to be registered under a new line/account. Users will also probably need to sign some kind of two-year agreement, whether it be a contract or an installment plan of sorts.

It is possible that the second handset won’t exactly be “free”, but rather its value will be repaid to customers over time as credit to their bill, which we guess is almost like it is free. That being said as it stands, Verizon is currently selling the Galaxy S7 for $28 a month for 24-months, and the Galaxy S7 Edge for $33 a month over 24-months.
