air-caseThe modern day smartphones does happen to have a whole lot of features and functions built into it, and with that, there is the particular issue of battery life – or rather, the lack of it if one were to take advantage of all the functions all the time. This has seen the invention of battery phone cases which has certainly done their job in providing not only protection for your handset, but also additional juice as and when required. Enter the Air Case, which is touted to be the thinnest battery phone case.

The Air Case will kick off as an Indiegogo campaign, where it will be different from your standard protective case with battery due to its extremely sleek profile which measures all of just 3.8mm. Apart from that, it looks as though it is going to be one of the easiest installations of many protective cases out there. All that you need is to to place your iPhone into a protective bezel, sliding the handset onto the battery backplate.

Despite the thin form factor, it will still come with a 2,400mAh battery, which also delivers pass-through charging and sync capabilities. The asking price for the Air Case stands at $39 a pop and it can be chosen from black, white and pink shades, being compatible with the iPhone 6, 6s, 6 Plus and 6s Plus.
