apple_logo2Are Apple’s plans for their Project Titan electric car on hold? Last we heard, Jony Ive had reportedly placed a hiring freeze on the project, and Apple’s CEO Tim Cook indicated that it could be a long time before anything can even be confirmed. However it seems that the project could be back on track according to a report from the Silicon Valley Business Journal (via 9to5Mac).

According to the report, Apple is said to have been busy lately buying and/or leasing buildings that are supposedly for Project Titan. We’re not sure what these buildings will be used for, but presumably that’s where they will be doing their research and development on the rumored electric car.

The report goes on to add that Apple has named these buildings after various Greek mythological figures. For example one of the largest buildings that Apple is using for Project Titan is called Rhea, which for those unfamiliar is one of the titans in Greek mythology, which in turn lends itself to the name “Project Titan”.

There are also buildings reportedly codenamed Medusa, Zeus, and Athena, just to name a few. Now we reckon it might be some time before Project Titan is announced if at all, so until then if you are really hoping for an Apple-made electric car, maybe you should temper your expectations.
