beyonce-lemonade-albumAccording to a report from yesterday, it was initially suggested that Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ album will only be available on Tidal. Right now there seems to be a war of exclusives going on with the music streaming industry, and given that her husband Jay-Z owns Tidal, we suppose this did not really come as a surprise.

However the good news is that not all is lost. If you are a fan of Beyoncé, you will be pleased to learn that according to a report from the New York Times, it seems that her album will be launching on iTunes as well where fans can purchase it. Do take note that the Tidal exclusive is still in place as far as streaming is concerned.

This means that fans can purchase her album from iTunes, but they won’t be able to stream it via Apple Music, Spotify, or other music streaming platforms that aren’t Tidal, at least for now unless her exclusive stream is timed or unless someone in her management changes their mind. Like we said, there’s a war going on with music streaming.

Earlier this year Kanye West’s latest album was also initially released as a Tidal exclusive and despite West making claims that his album would never appear on other platforms, it did not take long before the album was available to stream via Apple Music and Spotify as well. That being said, Beyoncé’s exclusive with Tidal is said to be for 24 hours, so fans will want to keep an eye out for her album’s release on iTunes soon, if it isn’t available already.
