Alphabet, which is a name associated with Google, has been said to be mulling over the possible sale of Boston Dynamics, the arm that churns out some pretty useful robots. Well, other than the more well known models like the Atlas robot, are there any other robots from Alphabet that are worth checking out? Apparently so, if you were to take this two-legged robot into consideration. This is one particular model that is more than capable of vacuuming your stairs as it makes its way up and down each flight.

So far, there has been no name attached to this robot just yet, as it was developed by Alphabet subsidiary Schaft. Schaft happens to be a Japanese robotics firm, and it has taken the road less traveled by dropping the standard humanoid form factor that many other frontline robotics manufacturers have taken, rather, doing away with the arms while enhancing and enlarging its legs so that both balance and maneuverability will be improved.

In fact, Schaft’s robot is also full well capable of carrying weights, stepping over obstacles, as well as vacuuming your stairs thanks to vacuum attachments that are on its feet. As to whether it can do a good job compared to a human, that remains to be seen.
