beoplay-a1Bang & Olufsen (B&O) are known for their luxurious high-end audio equipment that many probably do not have the money for. However the company has over the years tried to appeal to the mass market by introducing the BeoPlay series of slightly more affordable audio products, and the company has unveiled the latest in the lineup in the form of the BeoPlay A1.

Based on its design alone, it is very obvious that this is a product from B&O. It sports a very sleek design and will come with an aluminum dome and a soft-touch rubber base that will help set it apart from the competition, but for the most part it operates like how one might expect a portable Bluetooth speaker to work.

It comes with Bluetooth connectivity and under the hood, it packs a 2,200mAh battery that according to the company, should be able to offer up about 24 hours of use. This is definitely much longer than many other Bluetooth speakers out there. There is a red light that comes on when it hits 15% battery.

It also come with a 30-watt woofer and tweeter and thanks to its design, it will offer up 360-degree sound. Unfortunately it does not come cheap as it is priced at $249, but then again this is B&O we are talking about so it shouldn’t really come as a surprise. For more information, hit up B&O’s website.
