Apple-sign-logo110712125041According to several news reports, it seems that a body has been discovered in a conference room at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino earlier this morning. The body in question is that of a man who has been identified as an Apple employee, but beyond that the details of what exactly happened remain a bit scarce.

However the folks at TMZ have managed to get their hands on what appears to be an audio recording of the incident. According to the recording, which sounds like it took place after the body was discovered, it sounded like security was escorting an injured female employee from the building.

The recording also seemed to indicate that a gun might have been involved, but so far the Sheriff’s Department has labelled it as an “isolated incident”. Unfortunately this alleged recording has not been confirmed by the Sheriff’s Department so it is unclear as to how accurate it might be, so take it with a grain of salt for now.

The San Jose Mercury News reported that the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department was called to Apple’s headquarters when an emergency call was placed at 8:35am, and when they arrived they found the man dead. According to a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Department, “I can’t confirm any information regarding a manner or cause of death, or any weapons.”
