It appears that development footage of Mass Effect: Andromeda was recently leaked online. The footage shows a jetpack feature that may or may not make its way into the final game. It’s said that the video comes from the personal website of a developer who is currently working on Mass Effect: Andromeda.

The video in question is a 30-second clip which one NeoGAF user claims to be over two years old. Another forum user who discovered the clip in the first place said that it was on the personal website of a developer who is currently involved in the development of this game.

It’s a showcase reel of gameplay effects and visuals that the developer created for Mass Effect: Andromeda. Aside from the jetpack, the clip also shows a Krogan being held at gunpoint by a human who escapes by using a kind of spore bomb.

It didn’t take long for the clip to spread on YouTube but Electronic Arts is having them taken down quite rapidly. The clip can still be viewed through this link in the original NeoGAF thread.

Since this video is believed to be a couple of years old, it’s likely that some or all of what we see here might or might not make the cut. We won’t really find that out for sure until the game arrives. That’s going to take some time though as Mass Effect: Andromeda isn’t slated to arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC before 2017.
