By now we’re sure many of you guys have heard of the game Crossy Road. For those who are unfamiliar, it’s similar to Frogger where your character attempts to cross a series of busy roads to get as far as they can before getting run over by a car or falling into the river. The cute pixelated art and the various characters that players can unlock have made the game rather popular.
However if that wasn’t enough, it seems that the folks at Hipster Whale have teamed up with Disney to release Disney Crossy Road. As the name implies, this is basically a version of Crossy Road with Disney characters in them. Gamers will get to play in different themes from the various Disney franchises such as The Lion King, Toy Story, Inside Out, and more.
Speaking to Polygon, Disney associate producer Travis Marshall said, “Disney prides itself on is being fun for all ages. We like to touch all demographics, and Crossy Road is something everyone can have fun with, no matter the age. We were able to touch from all of our franchises, some of our ones that maybe only adult audiences are more familiar with and we’ll get younger audiences to buy into, and so it’s really going to help get everyone exposed to our great IP that we’ve done over the years.”
