facebook logoWe’re sure many of you guys have seen posts posted by your friends or people you follow in which they are asking you to donate money. This can be for a good cause like helping out victims of a natural disaster, or maybe they’re trying to raise money to help with a medical operation for someone else.

Now previously this usually included a link to a donation-based website, but according to a report from The Verge, Facebook could be considering keeping it all in-house. The report claims that Facebook is apparently considering creating a tip jar-like feature for future where people can tip you money.

This is based off a survey that Facebook sent out in which they asked participants what kind of features of promotion they might be interested in, with the tip jar being one of those options. Other options include branded content, a sponsor marketplace, a donate option, a call to action button, or revenue sharing.

However since it is only a survey, there’s no guarantee that Facebook will actually implement what its users have asked for. Not to mention there is also the possibility that other options that aren’t the tip jar could be the majority choice, but in any case what do you guys think? How does the idea of a tip jar on Facebook sound to you?
