Bethesda has announced that the Fallout 4 1.5 update is now available for download via Steam. This brings the Survival Mode out of beta for PC gamers. Bethesda has confirmed that the Fallout 4 Survival Mode for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is going to arrive by next week.

The new version of Survival Mode, Fallout 4’s highest difficulty setting, is the biggest feature in this latest update. It was launched as a beta on Steam last month, allowing beta testers to try out the new version, which includes limits on fast travel among other challenges and obstacles.

Fallout 4’s latest update also comes with the all-important bug fixes, and it also sets the stage for the upcoming Far Harbor expansion, the DLC is going to be released for PC and console gamers later this spring. A precise date hasn’t been provided yet.

Console owners only have to wait for about a week to get the update on their preferred gaming machines. Bethesda did confirm today that this update, complete with the Survival Mode, is going to land on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next week. It also confirmed recently that Fallout 4 mods will also be arriving on consoles starting next month, the tools go live for Xbox One first next month and for PlayStation 4 in June.
