ff9If you’re a fan of the Final Fantasy franchise, chances are you might have tried pretty much every Final Fantasy title that has been released to date. Now if you’re looking to relive some of the older titles, you might be interested to learn that Square Enix has finally decided to release Final Fantasy IX on the PC.

The game was recently spotted on Steam where it is priced at $16.79 which is a 20% discount (presumably a special launch price) until the 20th of April. After that the game will be priced at $20. As expected of the game since it has been launched for more modern computers, it will feature the inclusion of high-def movies and character models.

There will also be Steam Achievements, game boosters, and autosaves. According to the announcement, “All Aboard the Hilda Garde everyone! It’s time to return to Gaia as Final Fantasy IX is out on Steam right now! Whether you want to enjoy FFIX for the classic gameplay or use the in game boosters to experience the heartfelt story again, the choice is yours! We hope you enjoy Final Fantasy IX on Steam and do let us know if you run into any problems!”

Like we said the game is already live on Steam so if you’d like to check it out (and get in on the discount), fire up Steam to get your hands on it.
