tigre clubWhile football (or soccer as it is known in the US) isn’t that big in the US, there are parts of the world where people love the game so much that they show up for every match, paint their faces, cry when their favorite team loses, and sings club songs whenever their team wins. Basically there are parts of the world where football has a huge and crazy fanbase.

However we have to ask, how crazy about football must you be in order to get dermal implants under your skin? Why would we ask that? According to a report from Associated Press, it seems that the Tigre club in Argentina is offering its fans the chance to have dermal implants as a way of allowing them quicker access to their games at the turnstiles.

First of all why would anyone go to such lengths for a sport? Then there is also the issue of privacy, who’s to stop the club from tracking your movements, or a hacker to track your movements via the chip? According to Tigre official Ezequiel Rosino, he claims that there is nothing invasive about it and it will only carry basic information of the fan.

Then we also have to wonder about health concerns and how safe would this be? So far it seems to be an idea in the experimental phase as the Argentine Football Association still needs to give the club the go-ahead to proceed, pending approval from health and security officials too, but what do you guys think?
