kanye-west

Update – Turns out it was mistakenly uploaded by an “Apple Curator”. A report from Complex revealed that it was supposed to have been uploaded privately but it accidentally got published publicly instead. The song has since been removed and there’s no word no whether it will be returning anytime soon.

When Kanye West announced his latest album, The Life of Pablo, it was announced as an exclusive to Tidal. West even went on to famously say, “My album will never never never be on Apple. And it will never be for sale… You can only get it on Tidal.” However it didn’t take long before it made its way onto Apple Music.

However it does not stop there. It seems that West has released a new single titled “Saint Pablo” and while it was not specified, it appears to be exclusive to Apple Music for now. It is possible it will eventually make its way to other streaming platforms, but like we said at the moment only Apple Music is streaming the song.

This is no doubt a rather bizarre move by someone who had claimed his music will never be on Apple Music. What makes the latest release even more ironic is the fact that it contains a sample used from one of Jay-Z’s songs, and if you’re unfamiliar, Jay-Z is the owner of Tidal and who according to reports, has removed some of his older albums from Apple Music.

Some have speculated that this could simply be a glitch and that the song was not meant to be exclusive to Apple Music, but either way if you’d like to check it out, Apple Music will be your platform of choice for now.
