miitomoWith the reported success of Miitomo, Nintendo’s first game for smartphones, it is safe to say that many are looking forward to learning what the company could announce next, and whether or not it will be met with the same success that we have seen in Miitomo. The good news is that we might not have to wait much longer.

According to a series of tweets by Kantan Games CEO Dr. Serkan Toto, Nintendo is expected to announce their plans for their next mobile game soon. “I was told that in contrast to the last event, Nintendo will actually announce news on future products and pipeline. It was also suggested to me that at least news of Nintendo’s plans for mobile will be presented in more detail. Not sure about NX.”

The company is expected to make this announcement during their fiscal earnings call which will be held this Wednesday, meaning that we’re just hours away from learning more about it. It is possible that Nintendo might not announce their next mobile game, but at the same time we are still interested to hear how the company is doing now that Miitomo has taken off.

Maybe it might be too early for Miitomo’s figures to have impacted the company, but we reckon Nintendo might have something to say about its success anyway. In any case check back with us tomorrow for the details.
