oneplus-2-review-23Following the success of the OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus X, it isn’t really a stretch to think that OnePlus would not be following up with the OnePlus 3. Now according to a benchmark spotted late last month, it revealed that the upcoming handset could be powered by the Snapdragon 820 chipset and pack 4GB of RAM.

However it seems that new benchmarks are suggesting otherwise. According to the latest benchmarks, it has been revealed that for the most part, the previous benchmarks were right. The main difference here is that instead of 4GB of RAM, it appears that the phone will be packing 6GB of RAM.

Additional information has also revealed that the phone will sport a 5.1-inch display with a Full HD resolution, which is admittedly a bit of a bummer since QHD screens are starting to become the standard these days. We are also looking at a possible camera combination of a 16MP rear-facing shooter and an 8MP front-facing shooter.

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but last we heard OnePlus founder Carl Pei indicated that the phone will be announced by the end of Q2 2016, meaning that barring any unforeseen delays or changes in schedule, we could be looking at an announcement sometime later next month.
