overwatch screenshot3If you’re looking to get in on the closed beta for Overwatch, you might be interested to learn that Blizzard will be hosting the game’s last closed beta this coming weekend, as announced on the Overwatch blog. According to Blizzard, the beta will take place from the 15th of April through to the 16th of April.

Instead of the entire weekend, it looks like this particular beta will be short and will last about 36 hours. The good news is that Blizzard plans to open it up to more players, so there is a chance you could get in on the action. “For a limited time (36 hours to be exact), we’ll be opening up the Overwatch beta test to a much larger number of players in the Americas, Europe, and Asia gameplay regions for another round of stress testing.”

The reason for expanding the closed beta is in preparation for the game’s launch which will be taking next month (the game is currently available for pre-order). In order to be selected for the beta, you will need to opt in which basically signals to Blizzard that you’re interested in taking part in the beta.

There is no guarantee that you will be selected, but since Blizzard is expanding the closed beta there’s a higher chance of being picked. If you are picked, you should receive an email and the Install button should be activated in the Overwatch tab for your Battle.net desktop app.
