Heroes of the Storm is Blizzard’s answer to MOBAs such as League of Legends and DotA 2. However instead of creating heroes from scratch, Blizzard has decided to use existing characters from their other franchises and turn them into playable heroes, which is admittedly a rather fun idea.

Now earlier this month Blizzard did tease that they will be adding Overwatch’s Tracer to Heroes of the Storm and the good news is that the character is now playable, as announced by Blizzard on the Heroes of the Storm blog. However note that Tracer is only available to those who pre-purchased the digital version of Overwatch.

For those who didn’t, this doesn’t mean you don’t get to play the character. Instead what this means is that gamers who did not pre-purchase Overwatch will have to wait until the 26th of April to play the character, giving Overwatch owners a week exclusive and head start over everyone else.

According to Blizzard’s description of the character, “Equipped with the chronal accelerator designed by her gorilla scientist pal Winston and a pair of deadly pulse pistols to match, this highly mobile ranged Assassin zips around the Battlegrounds of the Nexus, catching enemy heroes off guard and then vanishing before they have a chance to react.” In any case you can check out Tracer in her trailer above where at the end, it seems to hint at a possible new Overwatch hero that could be making her debut soon as well.
