Tripods are pretty much essential for many professional photographers. This allows them to take level photos and also to take photos remotely with a shutter release cable or app while keeping the camera shake-free. It is also essentially for long exposure photography which can last for several minutes.

However setting up (and packing up) a tripod can be troublesome, not to mention adjusting the height of the tripod can also be a tedious process, depending on the model you are going for. The good news is that a company by the name of a Edelkrone has decided to reinvent the tripod with the StandPLUS.

If you watch the video above, you’ll realize that the StandPLUS is not your average tripod. It comes with a built-in handle that you can use to carry your camera and the tripod along with you at the same time. It also has flat feet which does offer a bit more stability, but if you’re a nature/landscape photographer then we reckon this might pose some problems.

It also looks like it has tiny wheels attached to the base so that you can move your tripod around easily, or if you’re using it for videography then you’ve got yourself a dolly. Adjusting the height also appears to be a cinch as photographers just need to pull it up or down. Unfortunately the StandPLUS does not appear to be available for purchase yet, but the company did state that it will be coming soon. In the meantime what do you guys think?
