umbrella corpsEarlier this year, Capcom announced that their upcoming shooter Umbrella Corps would be seeing a release in May. Unfortunately that has since changed as Capcom has confirmed that the game will be delayed. Thankfully the delay does not appear to be too long as the delay has simply pushed back its release from May to June.

According to a post on Capcom’s blog it reads, “Originally scheduled for release in May, Umbrella Corps is now launching just a little later on June 21 so the development team can spend some extra time optimizing the game to bring you the best experience possible.” Granted players will be disappointed, but better a late release than an early one chock full of bugs, right?

Just in case you’re unfamiliar with Umbrella Corps, the game is a third-person shooter that is based in the Resident Evil universe. Instead of just battling zombies, players will instead be fighting each other in various match modes. However given that this is based on Resident Evil, there will be various zombies and monsters that players will have to deal with in addition to fighting other players.

The game has been priced at $30 as a digital download and will see a release on the 21st of June. It will be available on both the PC and the PlayStation 4.
