Outlook users can currently view calendars from Outlook.com, Office 365, Gmail, iCloud and more all in one place while keeping on top of their emails, files, and contacts from that very same place. Recognizing that users’ digital world is far bigger than that, Microsoft today launched Calendar Apps for Outlook on iOS and Android, the feature enables users to connect their apps to their Outlook Calendar.

Apps that support Calendar Apps on Outlook include Wunderlist, Facebook, and Evernote. The feature will enable users to see all of their tasks, notes and events inside their Outlook calendar. Microsoft says that by linking with other services Outlook will be able to provide users with a batter view of their day, week and the coming months.

Folks who previously used the Sunrise app will be aware of this functionality, and now that the Sunrise team has joined Outlook, it has been working hard to bring the same functionality to Outlook.

Linking apps to Outlook is easy. Just swipe left while in Outlook’s calendar and tap on the Add button displayed next to Calendar Apps. This will bring up a list of compatible apps which can then be easily linked to Outlook.

Microsoft says that Wunderlist, Facebook, and Evernote are just the first few apps to support this functionality and that more will add support in the near future.
