Backwards compatibility is a great feature of the Xbox One, it enables players to play Xbox 360 games which have received support for this feature. There are dozens of Xbox 360 games that are now playable on Xbox One, and that list has expanded ever so slightly today with the addition of five more backwards compatible games for Xbox One.

Microsoft’s Larry Hryb, better known as Major Nelson, confirmed the five titles that are now backwards compatible via his Twitter account. The latest titles on the list include Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime, The Cave, Double Dragon Neon, Comix Zone and Altered Beast.

Xbox One owners can now play all of these titles on their console and the best part is that they don’t need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play them, the subscription is only required to play online multiplayer, so that’s something that players should keep in mind.

It goes without saying that Microsoft will continue to expand the list of backwards compatible titles for Xbox One, giving even more variety to owners of its current-generation console.

The company recently marked the end of an era as it announced that it will no longer produce new units of the Xbox 360, a console that well and truly made it a force to be reckoned with in the world of gaming.
