Since the Apple Watch has been positioned more as a fashion accessory and less than a conventional smartwatch, Apple has been teaming up with fashion brands to promote its first smartwatch, and it appears that it may soon announce the launch of Coach-branded Apple Watch bands. It was only last month that Apple Watch Hermes bands became available for purchase, prior to that the only way customers could get this luxury brand’s bands for the wearable device was to actually purchase the Apple Watch and the band together as they weren’t sold separately.
A sales associate from Coach has revealed to a Haute E’criture author that this luxury brand is going to launch Apple Watch bands by June this year. The same associate also provided a couple of pictures of a Coach-branded band for Apple’s smartwatch.
According to the associate, Coach is going to offer eight leather bands in multiple colors including red, black, brown and white. Some bands will come with charms attached while others will have a design or a pattern. The bands are said to resemble Coach’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection of handbags.
It was also revealed that these bands will be priced at $150 each, that’s about half of what you need to pay to buy an entry-level Apple Watch model, but luxury does come at a premium. An official confirmation has not yet come in from either Apple or Coach.
