There are many ways that one can create a sculpture. You can chip away at it so that you don’t lose out on the details, or you can go crazy like what Australian sculptor Rob Bast has done in the video above. Bast was recently commissioned by the folks at Bethesda to create a statue of the Revenant character from DOOM, and boy he did not disappoint!

Like we said, there are many ways one can go about sculpting, but as you can see in the video above, Bast has not held back as takes a chainsaw to a massive block of cypress wood, sawing it down into a very impressive 8 foot tall DOOM sculpture that we’re sure many a fan would love to own.

The entire project reportedly took Bast over 150 hours to make and is now being exhibited at the Australian Centre for Moving Image at Federation Square, Melbourne, so for those of you who are fans, you can pop by the city to check it out where it will be on display from now until the 24th of May.

The chainsaw is a weapon that is somewhat iconic to the DOOM franchise and just the other day, we saw how someone modded a toy chainsaw and inserted a Raspberry Pi in which they were able to get a game of the classic DOOM up and running from within the chainsaw itself.
