Fruit Ninja: Puss in BootsAngry Birds was one game that proved to be a phenomenal success – where theme parks were even opened under the franchise, and not to mention the recently released movie (in some parts of the world, of course). it looks as though Fruit Ninja is set to follow suit, with word of it being adapted into a live-action feature film.

Halfbrick Studios are the ones behind the Fruit Ninja title, which certainly boggles the mind how sometimes, simple things, well, work. Halfbrick Studios have decided to work alongside Vinson Studios in order to make sure that it’s hugely popular mobile game, Fruit Ninja, will make an appearance on the big screen in a live-action adaptation. One does wonder what kind of back story or premise that Fruit Ninja will have, taking into consideration how there isn’t much character development at all to play with, quite unlike Angry Birds.

Still, Fruit Ninja is the second top-selling iOS game of all time (right behind our feathered friends at Angry Birds), and it will be a family comedy, where a bunch of ninjas want to make sure that the world has no more fruit. Pretty bad news for those of us who like our banana shakes and watermelon juice.
