Last week thanks to a leaked video, we got a sneak preview at what appeared to be the upcoming single player campaign for id Software’s DOOM. Unfortunately (and unsurprisingly) the video has since been removed, but the good news is that the folks at id Software and Bethesda have since released the single player campaign preview themselves.

The preview lasts for an hour so basically it is a pretty detailed walkthrough of what players can expect. It will show off the game’s new weapons, gameplay system, and the various environments that players will encounter. While DOOM naturally has multiplayer aspects, players who love a good story will probably enjoy the single player campaign as well.

According to the game’s Executive Producer Marty Stratton, “When we introduced the game we kinda went back and started with what inspired us about DOOM, what was the DNA of DOOM in of itself. You come to some pretty big things right off the bat — just big bad ass guns, amazing demons and movement being a fundamental, key part of the gameplay.”

DOOM is set for a release on the 13th of May where it will be available across a variety of systems including the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC. If you have an hour to spare and you don’t mind spoiling a bit of the game for yourself, then you won’t want to miss out on this preview.
