Carmakers these days are starting to offer up more connected solutions for our smartphones either by offering the platform themselves, or turning to the likes of Apple’s CarPlay or Google’s Android Auto, just to name some of the available options out there. Now if you don’t have a new car or can’t afford to install a CarPlay or Android Auto system in your current vehicle, read on.

Logitech has recently announced the Logi ZeroTouch. The ZeroTouch is basically an app which according to the company, “lets you have the best features of a connected car, without buying a new car.” The launch of the ZeroTouch is also in line with the company unveiling two hands-free car mounts in the form of the Air Vent and Dashboard.

Together with the car mounts, ZeroTouch will allow users to use your voice to send text messages, place calls, share your location with friends, stream music via Spotify or Deezer, and use navigation apps like Google Maps, Waze, or Navigon. Its features are pretty standard for the most part, but given that the mounts are cheaper than installing an after market CarPlay or Android Auto system, it makes for a compelling argument.

These car mounts appear to be only compatible with Android devices, so iPhone users will have to sit this one out. The Air Vent is priced at $40 while the Dashboard is priced at $70, although oddly enough Logitech’s own website lists them at $60 and $80 respectively. The ZeroTouch app can be downloaded for free via the Google Play Store.
