android-6.0-marshmallowEarlier this year in February, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update was released to HTC’s One M9 on Sprint and T-Mobile. However the question many HTC users were asking is, when will the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update be making its way to HTC handsets on AT&T’s network? The good news is that it will be coming today.

This is according to a recent tweet by HTC’s VP of Product Management Mo Versi in which he confirmed that the update will be arriving on the HTC One M8 and the HTC One M9 today. “HTC One (M8 & M9) AT&T owners!  Thank you for your patience. Marshmallow OS is approved,  OTA to start tomorrow!!”

Given that Versi’s tweet was made on the 11th of May, we can only assume that he’s talking about today, the 12th of May. No word on what time the update will roll out, but we assume that it will roll out today so HTC owners will have to keep an eye out for it. Like we said, other carriers have pushed out their update already and the unlocked devices have gotten their as well.

Given that updates pushed out by carriers tends to take longer due to an extra step of approval, we guess it shouldn’t really be surprising that not all carriers will push their updates out at the same time, but we suppose better late than never.
