call-of-duty-modern-warfare-remastered-screenshot-03Along with the official announcement of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare earlier today, it has also been confirmed that there will be a remastered version of Modern Warfare. Now given how popular the title was back in the day (and still is for some veteran players), we’re sure many are excited for the modern take on the classic.

Unfortunately if you were hoping to get your hands on the remastered copy of Modern Warfare by itself, it seems that you won’t be able to. Activision has confirmed that Modern Warfare Remastered will not be sold separately, meaning that gamers will need to purchase any one of the Infinite Warfare bundles if they want to get their hands on it.

According to one of the questions asked about the game, “Can I play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered without buying Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare? No, you must own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in order to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.” It will also not be available on disc as it will only be a digital download.

This means that gamers will have to choose between the Legacy, Legacy Pro, or Digital Deluxe editions if they want to play the game. Not such a bad deal if you were already planning on playing Infinite Warfare, but for those who weren’t we guess that’s just too bad then.
