apple watch fitbitThe Apple Watch was not designed to be gender-specific, meaning that both men, women, and even children could wear it without the device necessarily defining them, however it seems that at the start of the Apple Watch’s life, it was mostly men who adopted the device. However recent data has shown that has started to change.

According to the latest information provided by analytics company Slice, it shows that more women are starting to adopt the Apple Watch. As you can see in the graph above, at the start it was about 80% men to 20% women, but fast forward to today you can see that gap start to close to about 60-40.

We’re not sure if it will ever become 50-50 or if maybe more women could end up owning the wearable than men one day, but based on the fact that the graph for women is climbing upwards, it could be possible. Interestingly enough when it comes to Fitbit devices, the opposite is true with more women wearing their products than men.

If anything the graph seems to be showing that less men are starting to go for Fitbit devices compared to women, although we can’t be sure of why that is, but what do you guys make of the data? Do you agree that more women than men are sporting Fitbit wearables?
