oneplus 3

Some of the biggest smartphone manufacturers have already unveiled their flagship smartphones for 2016 so now it’s time for OnePlus to show off its latest “flagship killer.” That’s what the company has been calling its top-of-the-line smartphones ever since the OnePlus One arrived on the scene. The OnePlus 3 is going to be unveiled in the near future, it certainly helps that the new handset has passed its FCC certification.

The OnePlus 3 was recently spotted at TENAA as well, that’s the Chinese equivalent of the FCC, and it has received certification from that regulatory body as well.

The TENAA listing confirmed that this handset features a Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB RAM, 64GB onboard storage, 16 megapixel rear and 8 megapixel front camera, 3,000mAh battery as well as a 5.5 inch Full HD display. It will come running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow straight out of the box.

OnePlus has already confirmed that it’s going to conduct a VR launch for its new handset like last time. It has already sent out the free VR headsets for this purpose, viewers will be able to order the OnePlus 3 in virtual reality before everybody else.

The company is expected to launch the handset in the first couple of weeks next month, there have been hints that OnePlus is finally going to do away with the cumbersome invite-ordering process that it put in place for all previous releases.
