overwatch open betaSeveral days ago Blizzard launched the open beta for Overwatch. The open beta was supposed to run from the 4th of May until the 9th of May, but it looks like the overwhelming response to the open beta has resulted in Blizzard announcing that they will be extending the open beta by an extra day.

This means if you did not get a chance to play the open beta over the weekend, fret not because you’ve an extra day to enjoy the game. The open beta will now end on the 10th of May at 10am PDT. This extension of the open beta will apply to all platform which includes the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

According to a post by Blizzard, “Over the last week, we’ve also had the opportunity to listen to your thoughts and opinions on the game; make improvements based on your reports in these very forums; and collect invaluable data just from you playing normally.  We couldn’t be more grateful. So, as a small way of saying “thank you” to our community and the millions of players who’ve logged in so far, we will be extending the Open Beta by 1 day on all platforms.”

In the meantime Overwatch has been set for a release on the 24th of May and is currently available for pre-purchase.
