If there is a game with a ton of staying power, it would probably be Capcom’s Resident Evil franchise. The franchise has been spun off into movies and while it has been awhile since we last saw a new Resident Evil game, the company has had no qualms with pushing out remakes and remasters of older titles.

In fact if you are looking forward to playing some of the older titles, you might be pleased to learn that Capcom has since released Resident Evil 5 on Android. However there is a catch and that is the game is only available to be played on the NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV. This means if you don’t own the device, you’d be out of luck.

Given that the game will feature some pretty detailed graphics, we guess the SHIELD Android TV makes sense as maybe the experience wouldn’t really be quite the same on your phone. Unfortunately it will not come cheap as t the game is priced at $10, which apparently is a launch special which means that it will cost more if you don’t get in on the action now.

The game is available for download via the Google Play Store so head on over to get your hands on it. In the meantime for those who do not own the SHIELD Android TV, there are other Resident Evil titles you can check out, or alternatively you could always wait for Resident Evil 7.
