overwatch_comicThe problem with releasing games designed for competitive multiplayer gaming is that chances are gamers who are keen on picking up the game do so for the gameplay and competition, not so much the story, which is why Blizzard’s Overwatch does not have a campaign. However as you might have heard, Blizzard plans to address this in animated shorts and comics.

That being said, it looks like Blizzard has released their latest comic and this time it features two characters from the Overwatch roster: Junkrat and Roadhog. According to Blizzard’s description, “In “Going Legit,” Junkrat and Roadhog are suddenly faced with the lucrative option of becoming legitimate businessmen when omnics take over a factory in Sydney. They intend to complete their assignment like real professionals. . .even if they have to blow up the city to do it.”

The comic is free and you can check it out here if you’re so inclined. The issue is admittedly rather short, but Blizzard is also expected to release a graphic novel in the future, so perhaps we can expect a more detailed story then. In the meantime you can check out the other comic featuring Jesse McCree, or the other animated shorts which star Winston the scientist gorilla or the Widowmaker.
