1tb-surface-bookFor the past few years, Microsoft has been releasing various Surface and Surface Pro tablets, but last year the Redmond company released the Surface Book, which is basically Microsoft’s take on a laptop. In case last year’s model wasn’t to your liking, you might be pleased to learn that next month we could be looking at its successor.

According to the latest rumors, they are claiming that Microsoft could take the wraps off on the Surface Book 2. Apparently Microsoft is trying to time the launch of the device with the release of Intel’s seventh-gen i5 and i7 processors, which we guess would make sense since we’re sure people wouldn’t be too happy buying a device with a last-gen chipset.

Apart from the rumor of using the latest Intel chips, the rumor also claims that we could be seeing a bump in screen resolution. Right now the resolution is at 2000×3000, but the rumors are claiming that it will be bumped to 4k. There are also claims that we could be looking at the inclusion of USB Type-C ports, which would make sense as more devices are starting to adopt it.

Of course it should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully Microsoft will be able to confirm its launch in the coming weeks.
