tmo star wars extensionIt is no secret that T-Mobile does not play nicely with the other carriers in the industry, who are obvious rivals but for the most part have avoided getting in each other’s face, save for T-Mobile whose outspoken CEO John Legere has no problems with speaking his mind, which sometimes has caused some controversy.

That being said, it looks like T-Mobile isn’t holding back today either, which for those unfamiliar is the 4th of May, also known as Star Wars day. To celebrate today, the carrier has launched a Chrome extension that (unsurprisingly) changes the word “AT&T” to “The DeATTh Star”, which hilariously enough applies to even AT&T’s own official website and Twitter account (see screenshot above).

According to a blog post by Legere, “Now, for the next stage of the revolution … we’re inviting every US wireless customer to embrace the force and use it against the dark side. And you don’t even have to be an Un-carrier customer to do your part. With your help, the world will see what I’m pretty sure we’ve all known all along—that AT&T is an Evil Empire set on bringing back the dark days of US wireless.”

We’re not sure how AT&T plans to respond, if at all, but if you are interested in checking it out, then head on over to the Chrome Web Store for the download. In the meantime if you’re after a bit of May the 4th fun that’s more neutral, Google has a nifty little game that you might want to take for a spin.
