Are you looking for a new pair of portable Bluetooth speakers? If you are, there are plenty of options to choose from ranging from super cheap to really expensive, but if you’re not looking to drop a few hundred dollars but are looking for relatively decent quality audio, Ultimate Ears (UE) has since launched the UE Roll 2.

As the name implies, this is actually the predecessor to the UE Roll which was launched last year. In terms of looks and design, they are pretty much identical with maybe more color and design options compared to last year’s model. However obviously since it is a newer version, UE has made some improvements to the speakers which they claim will offer 15% “better sound” and a longer Bluetooth range.

Prior to this, the UE Roll had a range of 66 feet, but the Roll 2 has a range of 100 feet. This means that you should be able to walk around your house and still remain connected to you speakers. The company is also boasting that it can output 15% more sound, which we can only assume means it will be louder than its predecessor.

UE will also be bundling a UE Floatie in every package, which means that you’ll have a floatation device to rest your speakers on while lounging at the pool. The UE Roll 2 is now available via Amazon where it is priced at $100.
